THYSSENKRUPP COMES BACK FOR MORE
Global conglomerate Thyssen Krupp has been so impressed with HotProspects’ new additional packages they just keep coming back for more.
Thyssenkrupp Elevator U.K. has over 1000 employees in the UK and is part of the Thyssenkrupp multinational conglomerate employing 200,000 world-wide. The UK Elevator Division installs, modernises and maintains elevators and escalators.
Based in Nottingham, Rod Graham is Director of Human Resources for Thyssenkrupp Elevator U.K. “I had an urgent request from the Head Office in Germany to find two potential graduates to attend an international assessment centre in Germany, for the position of Management Trainee.”
Rod said: “I had recently spoken to HotProspects and the team had discussed their new services with me. Although I thought HotProspects sounded interesting, at the time I had no recruitment needs. However, when the request came in from head office I thought the ‘Graduate Assessment Centre’ package would be the ideal solution to help us find the two candidates to send to Germany.”
Rod added: “This was my first foray into graduate recruitment so I felt it would be good to have the experts on hand to guide me through the process.”
Iain McCracken, project director for HotProspects explains: “We have put together four packages that can be purchased alongside the core recruitment service - a ‘Managed Graduate Recruitment’ service, a Specialist and Discipline Specific’ package, an ‘Induction and Career Progression’ service and a ‘Graduate Assessment Centre’ service.”
For companies choosing the ‘Managed Graduate Recruitment’ HotProspects will manage the whole recruitment process from writing the job description to interviewing candidates. The ‘Graduate Assessment Centre’ allows HotProspects to manage all short-listing and screening processes, as well as any tests and recommendations required on behalf of the employer. As a part of its ‘Specialist and Discipline Specific’ package, HotProspects can assist those businesses with the specific need for niche market graduates. The ‘Induction and Career Progression’ service is also available for companies that require specialist skills training for their graduates.
HotProspects Account Manager Phil Clampin said: “We recommended the ‘Graduate Assessment Centre’ package service to help ThyssenKrupp find a selection of high calibre graduates, quickly. We worked closely with Rod to select the final two graduates.”
Rod said: “HotProspects was excellent. I contacted the team at the start of January, and within three weeks, the Assessment Centre had been set up and I had my pick of graduates. HotProspects were very efficient and professional and I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a hand with their graduate recruitment process.”
Rod added: “One of the graduates put forward by HotProspects actually went on to be placed in the Management Trainee position, which was a great result for us.”
ThyssenKrupp has since gone on to try out the other commercialisation packages from HotProspects including the ‘Managed Graduate Recruitment Service’ and the ‘Specialist and Discipline Specific’ package, and are just about to take on their fourth graduate.
