FROM SMALL ACORNS...

Many of our clients are operating in a completely different environment to what they were last year, and particularly smaller businesses have told us they need additional flexibility in the way they recruit graduates. That’s why we have developed a flexible and practical approach to accessing graduate resource, with short term project placements designed specifically to suit your business.

Placements can take any form suitable for your business, but we tend to see three types of placement projects:

a. Operational resource
Businesses who need to access graduate level skills for an interim period, for example to cover maternity leave, often approach us to find a highly competent graduate with a degree relevant to their sector who can come and work for them for anything between two weeks to two months.

b. Project resource
Sometimes our clients need to undertake a project to bring about business benefits, and sometimes that project lies outside the expertise of the business. For example, a small manufacturing company in Lincoln asked us to find a graduate web master to design and launch a series of high-tech websites in order to improve their access to European markets. Other companies have used graduates to test new products, design waste reduction strategies or translate product descriptions to other languages. The project can be anything at all, and a graduate placement is far more cost-effective than commissioning specialist consultants.

c. Try-before-you-buy
Some of our clients have expressed fear of committing to permanent recruitment while the market remains unstable. For these clients, a low-risk option is sometimes to recruit a graduate on a fixed-term basis, allowing the graduate to fully integrate into the business and learn the culture and skills required, before offering a full-time position further down the line. 

The fee is set and is completely transparent. There are no hidden extras. The fee is only incurred once you have successfully hired the best graduate for your job.

Recent graduate: £1000
Experienced graduate: £2000

For businesses in the East Midlands grant-funding is available to cover the placement fee.
