LINCOLNSHIRE WORK PLACEMENTS

Exclusive Placement Service for Lincolnshire Businesses

Businesses in Lincolnshire now have the opportunity to access high level graduate skills for short to medium term work placements thanks to a new and exclusive initiative funded by Lincolnshire Enterprise. In response to research carried out by HotProspects (available through the resources tab located on the home page) we have developed a specialist graduate work placement service specifically for Lincolnshire’s businesses. With the support of Lincolnshire Enterprise, all the associated recruitment costs for the work placements are completely grant-funded for an initial period - all employers have to find is the salary negotiated for the graduate placements.

The research identified that many of our clients in Lincolnshire expressed the desire to recruit student or graduate level skills for a short to medium term only. The Lincolnshire Work Placement Programme allows organisations to allocate high level resource to project based work without having to worry about where to assign the graduate once the project has come to a close. Furthermore it also gives you, the hiring manager, an opportunity to assess the performance of a candidate before looking to offer a full time position.

The flexible work placement programme allows Lincolnshire businesses to access flexible graduate resource in a period of economic uncertainty. Typically the placement types can be broken into three areas;

Operational resource – a requirement for a degree educated candidate with associated skills to cover an interim period. This may include maternity or long term sickness.

Project resource – graduate resource to take on a project that would typically be outsourced. For example, updating your website, language translations and website optimisation has proved particularly popular. Getting a graduate on board through the exclusive programme is far more cost effective than outsourcing these critical tasks to expensive consultants.

Try-before-you-buy – monitor the performance and aptitude of your placement graduate before committing to offer them a permanent contract.

A dedicated Lincolnshire account manager will work with you to define the job specification, and discuss with you the placement variables such as salary, urgency and skills required. Once that has been agreed, we will provide you with an overview of different placement methodologies, and we will agree an action plan. You may also decide to take advantage of our additional services such as Role and Sector Specific Search, or Graduate Assessment Centres which are particularly salient for niche roles or where multiple opportunities exist. (Details of these additional services can be found through the services tab on the home page.)

As candidates apply for the work placement through our website, applications come through to your dedicated account manager. This means we can vet the applications to ensure you only see the most suitable candidates. Students and graduates are eager to gain industry experience before they embark on their careers. It provides them with valuable skills and commercial practice, and will enable them to hit the ground running when they are employed in full time positions.

If you already have a project in mind, then simply post your job through the upload a vacancy tab located on the home page. A Lincolnshire account manager will still call you to qualify the finer details and provide you with a project delivery plan.
